History
Gassmann's Satellite Service has been in operation for almost 30
years. After graduating from Ellsworth Junior College in Iowa Falls
with an associate degree in Applied Science/Electronic Service
Technology, Dave opened his business in August of 1973. Gassmann's TV & Stereo was originally located in Anamosa, Iowa.
In 1979 Dave added satellite, which is now his main business.
Since 1993 the business - now called Gassmann's Satellite Service - has resided in Monticello, Iowa.

Service Area
Located on Highway 151 between Dubuque and Cedar Rapids,
Gassmann's offers service in an 80-mile radius. Dave does his best
to keep the cost of service calls down. He not only trains his
employees to help customers diagnose their problems over the
phone, but also writes off some of the high cost of service calls as advertising expense.

Owners/Employees
Gassmann's is a family business. Although Dave started on his own,
his brother Wayne is now his partner. They have several family
members working with them: Dave's daughter Mandee, son Jordan, and grandson Dalton. Wayne's son Brandon also recently came to work for them.

Business Focus
Service has been and continues to be Dave's main focus and he has
instilled this value in his family members as well.
